Total Companion Home Care Agency proudly partners with the American Veterans Care Connection (AVCC) to help Veterans and their surviving spouses access home care services through the VA Pension with Aid and Attendance benefit.
Many Veterans and surviving spouses are unaware that they may qualify for this benefit, which is designed to help cover the cost of in-home care for those who need assistance with daily living activities.
Qualified applicants may receive significant monthly financial assistance that can be used toward home care services. Through our partnership with AVCC, Veterans and their families receive guidance throughout the entire application process.
VA Pension with Aid & Attendance
The Aid and Attendance benefit is a form of enhanced VA pension that provides additional financial support for Veterans and their surviving spouses who require assistance with daily activities.
Who May Qualify?
- Veteran who served 90 or more days of active duty (at least one day during a period of war)
- Surviving spouse of a qualifying Veteran
- Needs assistance with at least two Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Meets income and net worth limits as determined by the VA
- Honorably discharged from the military
